How many prims I have used?

Click on the land and select About Land.
Click on the Objects tab.
"Primitives parcel supports" is the number of prims that come with your land.
"Primitives on parcel" is the number of prims that you are currently using.

NOTE: If you own two pieces of property on the same sim the prims will be shared between the two properties. Both lots must be owned by the same person, or deeded to the same group.

Can I buy more prims?

Second Life allots 3 prims per 16m2. The only way to obtain more prims, is to buy more land. Occasionally our sims will have a prim bonus...this is because there is protected land owned by management, and they we not using all available prims on that parcel.

Why am I the only one that can set my land to "Home"?

In order to prevent random people from setting your land as "Home"...SL only recognizes the owner that is listed on About Land. However, many of us have people that we would like to share our spaces with.

To allow those people to also call your island home, the land must be deeded to a group that you are both members of. We recommend that you either create a new group, or use a group that is exclusive to those that are closest to you.

Once the group that you want to use is created...
Click on the parcel and select About Land.
Beneath your name, there is a Group line (Click the Set button).
Navigate to the group that you intend to use and click it. You'll see the group name listed below your name in About Land.
Put a check mark next to Allow Deed to Group. The Deed button will become active.
Click Deed. A popup screen will show up talking about land use credits. This does not apply to any of the CZ Enterprise sims as they are all privately owned, and you pay no Linden Lab tier fees when buying land from us.

NOTE: IF YOUR LAND IS STILL SET TO GROUP AND YOU SELL...THE MONEY IS SPLIT EVENLY AMONG ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR GROUP.
To prevent this...sell the land back to yourself for L$0 and then set it for sale.

How do I sell my land?

Click on the land, and select About Land. A new window will open. Click on the Sell Land button. In the Sell Land window, set the price that you're selling it for, an option of who to sell the land to, and whether you would like to sell any TRANSFER items with the parcel. When the land sells your Second Life account will automatically be credited the sale price of the parcel. The new owner is responsible for tier within 24 hours of the sale (tier is NOT transferable) and they must agree to, and abide by the covenant located on this website.
For sale signs are acceptable provided they do not rotate, hover, or otherwise impede the view, or island atmosphere for your neighbors.
SLX offers online listings for land that you are selling. Each time you list the property there is a cost of L$25. The Real-Estate tab at the top of the SLExchange.com homepage will tell you more.

NOTE: IF YOUR LAND IS SET TO GROUP OWNERSHIP AND YOU SELL...THE MONEY IS SPLIT EVENLY AMONG ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR GROUP.
To prevent this...sell the land back to yourself for L$0 and then set it for sale.

Land resale is not allowed unless the monthly tier is paid and current. There is no refund of tier for any reason.

Will you buy my land back from me?

No.

How do I return objects on my land that do not belong to me?

Occasionally it's a good idea to check your land to ensure that someone else isn't using your prims. They may not always be items that you can see.

Click About Land. Select the Objects tab at the top of the About Land window. Click the Refresh List button. Owners of all prims on your land will appear in the window below. Highlight the name of the person who's items you want to return. Click the Return objects... button. Repeat until your land is cleared of all items that do not belong to you, or your friends.

Security Policy:

Many residents wish to secure their land from unwanted visitors, so we've been evaluating several security options. Please keep in mind the following before we outline the revised policy:

1. Security in general in SL leaves a lot to be desired. Just because your land "seems" secure, people can still use their camera and zoom around your land.

2. CZ Estates has open airways and waterways. One of the things that is most important to us is that all residents have access to airways (planes, hang gliding, etc) and waterways (sailing, jetskiing, etc). Therefore they must remain open, meaning that you may only use a security device to secure your home.

3. You can ban residents. This seems obvious but some aren't aware of this. You can ban certain residents from your land through World > About Land > Access tab. You can ban people by hitting "Add" under the Banned Residents area. We can also ban residents from the sim you're on as well as all the CZ Estates sims.

Normal security orbs are of little use because they protect a radius instead of a square that most homes have. We're recommending that those who wish to protect their homes to use a security system called hippoSECURE which is available at our office for 650L$

The setup instructions are at http://www.hippo-technologies.co.uk/resources/hipposecure/hipposecure.php. The only mode we approve of is protecting the rectangular area of your house, not outside of it. This is explained in section 1.1.1 and will show you how to protect the height/width/length of the house only.

Once this is setup, please IM one of the managers for final approval. If you have any questions please let us know.
